I live on the Gulf Coast, the 5 mile strip along the Gulf of Mexico extending 350 miles east of me and another 200 miles to my southwest has 20%-25% the petrochemical production of the U.S.
Defiantly not interested in EV's to prevail.
But you would be surprised on how much federal subsidies are involved in the drilling and transportation of crude oils, from the federal waters along the coast.
As well as when a plant is fined for Environmental Issues they continue to operate while paying the daily +/-$50,000 fine, because they profit $2,000,000-$3,000,000+ daily, on that units production, as well as feeding its off products to another unit they profit on.
Wind production continues at night, but wind speed is usually lowered, reducing production.
The solar collectors that boil concentrated saline solutions that turn turbines via heat exchangers creating steam turning the turbines, has an ability to continue production for +/- 3 days with full cloud coverage.
These electrical generations in Arizona, their construction was greatly funded by Saudi money. Seeing need to control energy sources other than crude oil in our future.
I'm nor promoting the transfer from internal combustion engines to an alternative but I see a change in our future.
