I think the problem is a lack of clearance between the booster shaft and the master cylinder. It's not letting the fluid return completely to the master cylinder.
If the master cylinder does not have residual pressure valves built in, it will help to install them in the lines near the master cylinder. It will help prevent the wheel cylinder cups from collapsing and drawing air and moisture into the system.
