Is there any place in your area where you can buy non-ethanol fuel? I don't use non-ethanol in anything I own that uses gasoline. Fortunately we have several places in my area that sell non-ethanol.
Ethanol is harmful to a lot more than just fuel pumps. It's been known to cause collapsing of rubber fuel lines and damaging carburetors.
As far as electric fuel pumps, I have a Carter pump in one of my trucks. I did a temporary replacement of the mechanical pump about 25 years ago.
