I don't know where the crack is. What I know is that with the head off and the block full of coolant, I slowly get water in the oil pan as the truck sits, in Nevada, so it's not condensation (the 242 was in Pennsylvania for 1.5 years, so condensation for its problems is possible). I collect maybe an ounce or two in 2-3 weeks of sitting. I've done this test several times. If there's another explanation, I'd be a happy camper. Are there common places to look for a crack in a 1966 251?
Right now my plan is to get that 242 back into a working engine, possibly boring it out to 251 in the process.
Any advice would greatly appreciated.
