My 1956 Parts List shows that the transmission and PTO changed at serial number 83949164. This would have been the change to the NP420 and its dedicated PTO. Again, both of these are shown with with part numbers having the same double stacked box prefix described as: "Indicates parts not listed in any previous parts books".

The last Parts List that shows any PTO part numbers is dated 1960. It is still listed the same as it was first shown in the 1956 list: 1668 739. So there were apparently no changes between the 1956 serial number 83949164 and on through 1960. However, the 1960 Parts List also says to direct all orders to Detroit Harvester for PTO parts. Starting in 1961 through 1968, my Parts Lists do not show any numbers for the PTO assembly or parts.
