How well do you have to flush the old dot 3 fluid before starting to use dot 5?
Also, I read that dot 5 is really only for systems that are somewhat open to the atmosphere (like the systems in our trucks), since moisture gets in that way, and that you really should flush dot 5 on a regular basis, to keep moisture from collecting at low points in the system (since it doesn't absorb into the fluid and disperse throughout the system, like it would with dot 3). Is that what you do (flush on a regular basis)? Of course, I realize you're supposed to flush dot 3 systems too, but most people don't.
