Good luck with the brakes. As you know, they are pretty straight forward once you get the drums off. Your description is typical of a leaking wheel cylinder (you probably know that too!). I highly recommend a light coat of red rubber grease inside the wheel cylinder bores to keep the rubber seals happy and moisture at bay.
I met Gordon at the first Iowa Rally. It was a busy time and not a good opportunity for real connection. But over the years we talked and wrote about all things Life and Power Wagons. He was a gentle and considerate man, and I miss hearing his perspective.
