I rebuilt the wipers for my 1942 Dodge WC40 (half ton) using the parts from the Ford Model A kit. After disassembly, I cleaned the parts in an ultrasonic cleaner with a solution of water and Dove detergent. The gaskets fitted perfectly. I felt replacing the paddle seals was beyond my skills, so I soaked the paddles in oil for awhile and they seemed to revive. The wipers now work well, except going uphill I need to let my foot off the gas now and then to get a swipe.
