Yes, I have to replace that piece on the driver side. I tried to purchase it, but have found no one who makes and sells it, so I will have to fabricate it myself. It is probably for the best, because I already replace the floorpan underneath that piece and the fit will be different enough that any bought pice would have to modified.
On mine, that piece is C-channel, but I am thinking I should probably box it completely. What do you think?

Simply? I have made a couple offers on cabs, but folks want more than I am willing to pay, and my guess is that they won't have a difficult time getting their price.
