Good points. I have never had a worm gear steering box apart. Now I have to wonder, how many teeth does the worm gear have spiraling around it? Wouldn't the spiral angle be dependent upon the number of teeth to some extent?
One tooth should make the truck easier to steer but require more turns of the steering wheel. And should provide less feedback to the input side. Two teeth should make the truck harder to steer but require less turns of the steering wheel. And should provide more feedback to the input side.
Or am I over thinking it? ;^)
