I suspected as much. It seems to me that most cars and trucks drive highway speeds at somewhere between 1500 rpm and 2500 rpm. I am guessing that to drive at highway speeds in a older FFPW, one will have to drive at a higher rpm because of the gearing of the rest of the drivetrain. I am slightly aware that later Power Wagons had 318s installed from the factory. Were any PWs with the factory installed 318s the Flat Fender version, and if so, did they also change the transmission? And would that be the NV4500 that you mention?
