FFPW bed options

I've read through the different threads, websites, and images of different options for our PW beds. I have a driver side panel and headboard, but no tailgate or passenger panel. VPW and MWM both do not have original panels, either. I understand that new repro panels are being made, but they are flawless, and my ol' truck isn't...I'll be checking out Craigslist for the time being, but to change direction- has anyone used a hoist bed insert as their bed?
