Which part ain't so? Yes, the bolt for the transmission mount has the size listed, but the "23-04-17 SCREW, Front Floor Plate Fastening, w/Washer" just has a parts number in my manual, no size. Are they the same size? Do they both use the clinch nut? Or does the Front Floor Plate Fastening Screw use U-clips?

I guess when it comes down to it, since I have to drill new holes in the both the floor pan and the floor Plates, I can use whatever size I want. And if, at some point the engineers used slotted dome topped screws, maybe they had the same idea I did. Namely, who wants to be catching their boots on hex bolts?

Any idea why they used clinch nuts? The first time I saw a clinch nut was a couple months ago when I wondered what the heck are those round things on the transmission cover?
