It ain't so. See your parts manual 23-04-113 for the bolt and 23-04-114 for the nut. The number in the parts manual for the nut is CC-1277359 and is a later number than the number used on the WC 3/4 ton, the nut in the image is basically the same nut and will work. You simply stick it through the hole and pound or press the sides down. You need to make sure the flat side is positioned correctly before securing, maybe someone has a floor cover off that can let us know.
