There are a few companies making hub drive motors -Elaphe comes to mind- for converting cars and trucks to E drive. I worked for Rockwell Automotive as a machinist back in the day and we were talking about hub-drive trucks back then. The same principle as a locomotive. A diesel drives a generator that powers the electric motors that spin the wheels. I could see using a 4bt to do the same thing for a PW. It would be easy to mount a wide, flat battery under the bed.
