We had a 1995 Dodge Neon we bought with the extended warranty:

- Engine blew a head-gasket just under the extended warranty ending, lucky us. We experienced heating issues and every time we took it in for service, they could never find anything wrong until the head gasket finally blew,

- Went threw multiple PCM's and each time they would have to print out the computer diagnosis and send to Chrysler engineers for analysis,

- On the last CPM failing the dealer had the car for six months and thought the problem was bad connectors on the wiring harness. Car was less than 10 years old and they couldn't get a new harness, only a used ones which I felt was no better than the one on it.

- Finally I felt it wasn't worth keeping the thing based on its value, and told the dealer it's yours. Dealer wanted me to pay for the labor and I told them I've been paying insurance on a car you can't fix and I can't drive, so they kept it and I didn't pay anything.

I have not bought another Chrysler product since. I'm sure there are plenty of satisfied customers with vehicles that have not had issues or have had good service. There are service ranking on the dealers from A to ..., so when you do have an issue, look for a Grade A dealer, or your service will probably suck!
