When I made the Labrador trip back in 2005, I took a spare camera with mi just in case my Nikon DSLR went west. The spare camera was a old sony that recorded the images on a 3.5" floppy disk. But back in 2005 most computers still had floppy disk drives. I digress.
Almost every time I stopped for fuel, food or whatever, many people came over to look at the Carryall. Fathers would drag the kids over to look, kids would drag mom or dad over to look. I got a idea, break out the old Sony floppy disk camera. Let the Moms or Dads take a full disk pictures with the kids inside the carryall, sitting on the front fenders and then give them the disk to take home. It was fun to see the kids eyes open sitting in the Carryall. It was more fun seeing the smile of the Dads as they sat in the Carryall. On that 3700 mile trip, I gave away 3 boxes of floppy that the Parents took home with them. It was a fun time for all. It was really fun at Canadian Forces Base, Goose Bay where there is a Vulcan Bomber on walk up display. Many wanted pictures of the Carryall with the Vulcan Bomber. That was 16 years ago, just think the little kids in all those pictures are now young adults, wonder if the still have the floppy disks of pictures.
