Check the link. A friend of mine had constant problems with the V6 diesel in his Sprinter. After all DEF and other nonsense were removed, all of the problems went away. The engine became more lively, mileage improved, and it passes annual emissions inspection. Go figure out. I think he paid around $1000 for all these "upgrades", but it was well worth it.
If you are really determined, look into some forums from Europe. That part of the world is way ahead of the game when it comes to "tuning" diesel computers.
