I started with a 1947 from Colorado that I purchased off the forum from Bob Ibbottson. My plan was to keep it original and I also purchased a 1953 power wagon farm truck that was running so I could swap it in while I restored the 47. Well the 47 is totally original still because I used the cab and front clip from the 53 and had a modernized Power Wagon built. So, my $0.02, keep your barn find as is then sell the GMC and build a power wagon from parts that need saving.
