Depending on the age of your Booster, you might think about removing the bolts that hold the ends from the central part, see if there is fluid there that shouldn't be as well as check for cracks in diaphragm. Clean Do your maintenance and reassemble.
Depending on the use you might take the breaks and drums to a mechanic that works on large truck break, have them turn each drum and corresponding matching shoe, install them back at same location removed, without mixing up the matching shoes and drum, adjust with feeler gauge.
If you are having problem removing lugs. Lucas has a penetrating fluid called toolbox helper, I found it better than Krol oil and the others
