As i listed in a post about ten down or so in regard to hard first start then ran good the rest of the day on my '48. Today after running in every direction fuel, ignition, carb. i found my problem. Sticking valves unsure how many and finally after running a few seconds clears up and runs good the rest of the day. Compression check showed up with some and zero compression and visual down plug hole confirmed this by seeing the valve stuck at least part way open. As i said after starting it clear up in a few seconds. My question is the best way to address this now. A 50/50 mix of A.T.F and acetone and pour some down carb while cranking engine with no fire and let sit, put some in plug hole and rotate engine every hour or none of the above. Runs perfect when it starts until next morning. This old unit sit for 17 years under cover until i got it a while back. Thanks in advance
