Well, the frame was not designed for hot dip galvanizing and temperature of melted zinc can be as high as 460 degrees, not sure that would have an effect on stress metal fatigue of the frame. You would probably want to separate the double lined channels of the frames before it's done, and sand blasting of the frame may be required unless they have a chemical dip to strip the rust. You also need to realize a galvanized frame, when scratched will rust greater than the original frame so if you plan to do it, it should be cover with phosphoric acid prior to galvanizing. You need to discuss air and drain holes with a galvanizing company, they may need to drill holes in places, cleaning of the frame, and the acid coverage before you do it.

There are good alternatives such as Por-15 and Rust-Oleum's Rusty Metal Primer# 7769 paint. There are also Ship paints that do a good job to prevent rust.
