1948 6 volt starter

My starter finally gave up today and i was hopeful that it was the mechanical switch on top but not so. I ordered one from VPH but received call soon after advising none in stock and waiting on rebuilder. Do any of you know where i might get one either rebuild or working used. A call to local starter man was no help.
