did either of you buy a new pipe plug? that almost always works in that situation. But, you are probably dealing with Chinese MC so could be poor threads in MC. in theory shouldn't ever need sealer with brake parts. it will eat through most anything. I'm sure there is a sealer that is brake fluid proof but haven't researched it.
