So after crawling around the w500 has a h141 rear and fds750 front. It appears there are no options to change out the rings and pinions. Unless a special order was arranged with a manufacturer, minimum order being 200 units, maybe 100. So you would need 50 willing people to go for it. I was thinking about the gear vendor idea but it feels like a bandaid. Thinking back to my 66 cj5 it had the overdrive mounted on the transfer case. What if you had a gear case bolted to the input shift of the transfer case that would allow you to shift onto a gear that gives you a reasonable highway speed. Like a planetary gear setup allowing to shift at speed. There is plenty of room between the tranny and transfer case???
