vent style window glass install

I know there is a brief how to on the best of page, but it makes it sound so easy. And right now I am drenched in sweat and cursing the world with a new crack in my glass struggling for the last 2 hours to feed the glass into the top of the door at every imaginable angle. The front channel bolts are as loose as they can be without falling out. The vent is installed and opened. What am I missing? the only video I can fins is for a non-vent style window. I dont suppose there is a video someone can link me to to help guide me through this?
