I just looked at the late transmission in my M37, the casting number is C98511
I looked at an early M37 transmission that is out of a customers truck for rebuilding, the casting number on it is C88671
So no,the casting numbers are not the same between the two transmissions, but the bolt patterns are the same.
Can we put this issue to bed now?
