I've been wondering the same thing about my '51 M37. It still OD and a really like the character - worn, slightly discolored paint where you rest your arm on the windowsill, and the general look that this is a truck that has been around the block a few times.
I use it in the woods, so I was looking for a truck that I would not be heartbroken if I dinged it up. On the other hand, I don't want all the little dings and crack in the paint to give the rust a place to get a hold of.
