According to one of the guys at VPW, MMO will raise the boiling point of fuel so the fuel is less likely to vaporize. Since ethanol reduces the boiling point , the fuel vaporizes at lower temps so there is a greater chance of experiencing vapor lock if your gas has ethanol in it. I took his advise and have been using 4 ounces of MMO for every 10 gallons of fuel.
Hope there’s not a downside to using MMO .
