I use Hagerty for some of my personal collector cars/trucks and they are also one of the three markets that we use for our clients.
Kevin is correct that Hagerty doesn't generally require an appraisal now. With all of the algorithms at their disposal their valuation tool gives us pretty good numbers to base agreed value on.
Their new "wrinkle" is that they have been recently requiring that the customer install a GPS device in said collector car/truck and subscribe to a tracking service. The obvious benefit is theft recovery...
