I simply cannot take loud noises any more.
Yet I can’t hear people in a crowded room either even if it’s not loud.
Or my wife talking to me as I ride in the car due to road noises! Sux.
And hears the rub:
I was an office boy all my life, not subjected to machinery or loud constant noises. Yet my hearing loss is real.
Sure. Occasional Chainsaw work. Pounding on a metal vise here a there. Shooting a gun from time to time.
They tell me I damaged my hearing from that.
Never would have though occational loud noises in my life would cause this at 56 years old.
