The one tire shop in town that was willing to work on split rings asked that I not bring them any more. I gather that the guys are afraid of them blowing up, even just to break them down. The nearest truck tire shop is about 30 min away, and they won't do them while I wait. So that's 2 hours of driving. No thanks.
