I hear you...I mean the biggest obstacle is the steering column & I just remove it. That’s the most time consuming part of the operation but it just makes for a much easier job & one where a guy can give his truck the proper service it needs easily. Replace some of the linkage bushings that are difficult to get to from underneath, grease everything properly when you can easily access the fittings & replace rubber mounts etc that are always deteriorated on these trucks.
Your Carryall is another story :)
It sounds time consuming but my experience is that it’s quicker.
