Work your way through the cab and determine where things got burned. Then decide what you need to buy. You may only need to buy sub harness. I bet a lot of the Sub harness are the same as a diesel truck and should be easy to find. The engine harness will be totally different. Start investigating on line and see what you can find out about the wiring.
I had a Ford V 10 PU. It was a great truck and moved out quite well. The reason I sold it is because I wanted to tow 10K lbs and have a camper on it. It would be way over gross weight and a diesel is much better when talking 22K Combined vehicle weight.
