rebuilding mechanical fuel pump

Is anyone doing this?
I just replaced a 10 year old mechanical pump. The new on was $57.
The $50 electric pump on my '66 F350 has lasted almost 30 years. Hmmmmmm.
Well, at least I am keeping Bill happy. :)
