Multi-RPM testing -- development, straight RPM -- endurance, no source, but pretty much a std in automotive and aircraft industry unless there is something by the ASE. After many tests/failures by Porsche on the V-Rod engine, it had to make 500 hours w/o breaking before Porsche could claim it as reliable.
