Has anyone else experienced pinging/ predetonation from running stock carb? Head has been off and carbon cleaned out when engine was installed. Timing set @ 0 deg. Run premium fuel. Coolant temp normal. Mostly pings at higher rpms under load. Low rpms, working, no issues. Only when it's moving a lot of cfm. Wondering if I'm leaning out, increasing combustion temps. Have not done a plug chop yet. I'm aware of the causes of predetonation, just wondering if anyone else has had this symptom due to lean mix/ stock carb.
