This morning I hooked up the new 3 wire power cable with good ground. The motor runs fine, with no phantom voltage between motor frame and ground nor does it blow the GFI. All is well.

I learned a lot. I never knew that digital voltmeters were best used for electronics and Analog (Simpson 260) best used for electric motors and controls, etc. Its nice to learn something without doing damage or having pain and suffering LOL
