on a side note
i recentely saved 2 tourist from drowning
one young lady from new york who was so grateful she was overcome
then a local who acted like he saved himself
strange as both times i really should not have been in the ocean as i walked down to check the surf and it looked fun in my spot in front of the rio copey which upon occasion developes
a nice sandbar
but by the time i went and got my board and paddled out the tide change and the little sand bar was not doing it s thing but i paddled around looking for somethting to ride in on and found nothing--several times i said to myself just paddle in but i hung around for another hour or so when i saw the damsel in distress being sucked out to sea so i paddled over slid off my board and helped her get on the bd. and pushed her back to the beach using the waves to get us there
current is really strong there and there is a big hole 30 ft or so off the beach so they wade out and before they know it they are in over their heads and then the current whips em out to see--when i got to her she barely had any breath left as she had been battling the current and was losing
same thing happened the next day when i saw a local in the same predicament
what is concerning about this is there are life guards on the beach and there are also several surf instructors tents up and down the beach and the reason they have permission to do biz on the beach is they have to play lifeguard if need be cuz tis illegal to have biz on the beach
after i saved the lady from new york i went up to tell one of the surf instructors what he missed and found out he could care less---where do these kind of people come frome???
