Every year here in North Idaho, when August reaches the 3rd week or so, things change. Overnight temps drop into the 50s, the days begin to shorten, and the garden starts to die off. As much as I hate to see another summer end, this one has been hot and dry, and smokey from all the fires in the northwest and Canada. Cooler nights and the likelihood of some rain will help extinguish the fires and clear the air.
