I ran into this issue recently as I found a NOS “20 inch Budd wheel lock ring for a military truck on eBay. It “Looked” correct, but when I got it the height of the part that went down next to the tube was higher, and the spacing between the ends were not quite the same when my truck tire guy started to mount it, so he stopped and called me, we decided to not trust it and keep looking.
I recall what the other W500 rings looked like when mounted.
