It's a trade-off. More power, but fewer mpg.
I run ethanol in the fuel injected engines now. But when I was making that long commute, (200.6 miles per day) every mile per gallon counted. I'd have driven the diesel more often, but that D350 was hard on my kidneys.
I still use non E in my older stuff, tho..
