In my 1966 Power Wagon with the 251, I'll get about 3-4 mpg more fuel economy running it on 89 octane recreation gasoline vs running it on regular 87 octane gasoline with 10% ethanol.

In an older Power Wagon with a 75hp 230 flat head six, that is a big difference in hp output from that engine!

In my 2014 Dodge Journey, if I run E85 vs regular 93 octane with no ethanol, I get as much as 5 to 6 mpg more fuel economy.
