Donno' if the plywood was treated. I was feeling lucky just to find anything that was big enough. Its exterior grade and we did put about four coats of marine varnish on it. The plan was to get something together for the trip this July.
As for having time to do the truck and the blog? I'm retired and buying the truck pretty much coincided with our last kid heading off to college. Suddenly, I actually have nothing else to do. So I guess its kinda' therapy having an unending nightmare project to work on while I get used to the empty nest lifestyle. Keeps me out of Julie's hair too.
And Alex, Julie's pressuring me to take us out to meet you two "for coffee" sometime soon. I'm guessing, looking at a map here.. Probably somewhere along the Mississippi river? That's about half way isn't it? I bet we can talk BC Bruce into coming along as well!
The B25 flight was the ride of my life. Funny thing, seeing your pix of the B17 ride actually went a long way towards pushing me past my fears to go fly that thing. I tell ya', strapping in that cockpit my head was going a mile a minute! WOW!
