I always thought the John Deere 4.5 4 cyl would be a good swap candidate. Clarke uses them on thousands of fire pumps with rotary injection pumps. They have an sae bell housing not sure how to make a road pump. Pretty close to a 4bt they make about 120 hp at 2100 rpm.
