Don't sell those old Warn winches short guys. When I was in the four-wheel-drive clubs back in the '70s and '80s, those were the winches to own. I have pulled myself and others out of bottom land silt up to the bumpers with 40-inch tires acting as anchors with one of those. If I could not have a Braden PT0 winch, it would have to be one of those old Warn M8274 winches.
With that said, I believe on a Sno-Cat, the winch is more for rescuing injured skiers, rather than self recovery.
