I bought a '68 F100 four wheel drive brand new. For simplicity of install I decided on an 8000# Warn winch. I took the truck out and deliberately stuck it, all 4 wheels in mud. The Warn winch was trying so hard to pull the truck that some of the little caps blew off the top of the battery. I sold it and bought a Ramsey pto winch and never did it not do the job. I've had numerous pto winches since and only 1 electric winch. That one is on my little crane on the back of the WDX, where it won't leave me stuck somewhere. :)
