A good blade is hardened and ground, very accurately. (My Mititoyu is 12.001" long.) And some blocks as neccessary. I actually had to use the end of the blade against the caps of some u-jts.
And sketch some pics of the angles, don't get turned around. OOops, camera phones today- I'm such a troglodyte.
