See here's what you guys need to understand about Flatfender brakes...they are totally different than a regular car or truck drum brake. The bottom of the shoe is fixed. It's anchored with a huge pivot pin that's adjustable but once adjusted, it doesn't move. So it's not a matter of just a pulsing through the pedal...if your getting a pulsing through the pedal then you're getting hugely reduced braking. On modern drums, the shoes float. They aren't fixed & have no solid pivot like a flat fender. They have everything engineered so that even if you had huge runout on your drums, the pressure would remain constant & although there would be signs of brake problems...your braking would remain good. Flatfender...not good. A few thousands runout & you can cut your braking capabilities in half.
If you can't easily lock up your brakes...look into the problem because all 4 tires on a Flatfender will easily lock up, even with 11.00/16's.
