Yep 3/8 bolts 1 inch long with a lock washer It is tough to hold with one hand while putting the bolts in with the other. I wonder if you used a stud where the slot is in the pto to help hold it inline while you put the rest of the bolts in if it would be any easier. I had mine in and out a couple times to get the right amount of shims and my arm was sore.
